This blog post on Seeing The Woods is the first in a short series written by students of the RCC's Environmental Studies Certificate Program.
In the series, the students reflect on topics relating to permaculture, alternative food production, and biodiversity. As part of the Certificate Program in 2016, the students took part in a three-day permaculture workshop during which they visited several gardeners in southern Germany’s Allgäu region.
The second piece, by Stefan Bitsch, recounts his impressions of a farm run by the Hummel family and their educational concept.
