Environmental Songs from around the World

During the summer term of 2019, we attended a seminar on environmental ethics. While we discussed different aspects of morals and ethics and the respective relation to the environment, we also had the chance to work on a practical final project. As a group of six students, we decided to create an environmental song playlist on Spotify, called Planet Notes and additional website describing our project and the songs we chose. We realized that there are a lot of environmental friendly playlists already but found our individual focus: We collected international songs - not the mainstream from the US everyone knows about (such as Michael Jackson's Earth Song). We used our own language skills to identify the lyrics and included German, French, Mandarin, Spanish and English songs.
