My final project is a poetic and artistic reflection on Earth’s history, blending personal narrative, evolutionary science, and environmental philosophy. Through diary-style entries, poetry, and aquarelle paintings, the project traces life’s evolution through the Phanerozoic eon - from the Cambrian to the Anthropocene - drawing parallels between planetary transformation and human development.
Inspired by the Gaia hypothesis, deep ecology, and geopoetics, it seeks to dissolve the perceived boundary between humanity and nature, fostering empathy for life as a whole. Rooted in real-life travel experiences and personal diaries, the project reimagines individual moments through the lens of Earth’s history. The adaptation of original German texts into English further shaped the creative process, intertwining art, language, and science to invite readers into a shared journey through deep time.
