My project is aimed at anyone interested in exploring the possibilities of urban greening and serves as an introduction to the topic. I chose this topic because, in my view, urban greening can function as a partial solution to significantly improve the quality of life for residents of cities, while at the same time making the urban areas themselves more adaptable to the effects of climate change and more resilient to environmental impacts.
Urban green spaces offer a number of benefits for their inhabitants, yet there seems to be only moderate ambition in Germany in this regard. In particular, the city-state of Singapore is a good example of innovative ideas being used to give nature more room, even though there is a scarcity of space in urban landscapes.

In my final project I created a brochure, which presents a selection of already existing, noteworthy possibilities of urban greening in Munich and presents them by means of a photo series. Especially in the face of climate change, new concepts for urban planning and design have to be rethought in order to use the already existing space as efficiently as possible and to optimize it with regard to the quality of life of its inhabitants. Therefore, the focus of my project is rather on public spaces and.not on the influence of private nature. In addition to the already existing options for greening, I would also like to present further possibilities, which I have identified during my research work and consider feasible in the city of Munich. The focus is more on public spaces and less on the design of private living areas. Beyond that, I have examined further options for the design of urban landscapes and present some ideas, which from my point of view could be implemented in Munich.
