Public Climate School

by Students for Future Munich

03.05.2022 – 22.05.2022

The Public Climate School (PCS) 3.0 is an open university for anyone wanting to learn more about climate justice. The PCS shows what a curriculum that makes utopias and visions possible could look like. Scientists and experts from a wide range of disciplines are organizing exciting lectures, discussions, and workshops on the following subjects:

  • Social change & utopias
  • Activism today
  • Education & climate science
  • Climate justice
  • Art & culture
  • Rethinking the economy
  • Politics & philosophy: We strike & you (don't) act

Why: We are running out of time. The global temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius will soon be impossible. If we want to shape a future worth living in, we must catalyse an ecologically sound social transformation.

So take part in the PCS winter semester program! On the basis of recommendations from the scientific community, this will take place completely digitally. Numerous Students for Future groups from cities across Germany and Austria are putting together events for a joint PCS live program from 16-20 May 2022.

The Rachel Carson Center and the Environmental Studies Certificate Program are taking part, with a wide range of seminars and lectures to support the mission of the PCS.
