Celebrating Research at the Rachel Carson Center

A Public Event

21.07.2023 14:30  – 21:00

Celebrating 14 Years of the Käte Hamburger Kolleg

Location: LMU Munich, main building, A120, Kleine Aula, Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1, 80539 Munich

Each semester, the Rachel Carson Center introduces exciting projects by students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, visiting scholars, and staff during its Research Forum. The July 2023 Research Forum is a special occasion because it marks the end of the Käte Hamburger Kolleg (KHK 2009–2023), which was started by LMU and the Deutsches Museum in 2009 and has been funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. LMU Vice President Francesca Biagini, the presidents of the RCC's Society of Fellows, and KHK Directors Christof Mauch and Helmuth Trischler will address the forum. In addition, the incoming chair of environmental humanities will introduce herself, and students will present their final projects in a slam. There will be music!

The event is open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Please note: Photos will be taken at the Research Forum. By participating and being present during the event, you give the Rachel Carson Center the right to use the photos for educational and promotional purposes.

For inquiries regarding the use of photos taken of you during this event and requests to not appear in photos, please email us at website@carsoncenter.lmu.de.
