Visiting a pedagogical Bee Trail in Moosrain

Due to the „Volksbegehrens Artenvielfalt“ bees and their increasing mortality have become the center of attraction. Therefore, we will visit the pedagogical bee trail in Moosrain in order to learn about the bees and their annual rhythm, their cohabitation in swarms and their honey production. Beekeeper Thomas Klotz will guide us through the beehives and help us to grasp these fascinating and most valuable beings from a new perspective.
Thomas Klotz is a political scientist currently graduating at the Environmental and Climate Policy chair at the Hochschule für Politik München. His doctoral thesis focuses on bee politics in the Alpine region, and he is also actively involved in the “Bezirksimkervereins Gmund - Tegernseer Tal und Umgebung e.V.”.
