Award-winning documentary filmmaker Sara Penrhyn Jones is offering a Media Workshop!

'Drop in surgery': for those interested in using media in research projects, either as a research method, mode of documentation, or dissemination tool.
Topics Covered:
- Basic filmmaking and photography, technical tips
- The principles of editing - how to tell a story
- What makes a good, useful photograph?
- Self-publication of videos and dissemination through social media
- Different media/video forms and reasons to choose one over the other
- What is creative practice as research- how can it be 'validated'?
Feel free to bring any work in progress for feedback and advice, or any cameras/microphones etc. if you're struggling with them (preferably with manuals).
