Qualification Program "InnovationsGeist"

InnovationsGeist is an extra-curricular qualification program for LMU students. Interdisciplinary events provide participants with specialized knowledge and soft skills to support innovative thinking and acting.

The entire InnovationsGeist program is free and open to all LMU-students of all faculties and semesters (unfortunately ECTS points can't be gained).

In 2018 the basic program of InnovationsGeist was expanded by the topics of "global challenges" and "societal impact".

The focus of the 2019 program is to show possible fields of activity to face global challenges and to support the development of individual solution approaches.

The seminar series „Impact for Global Challenges“ conveys eight different perspectives on global challenges through talks on different topics. The goal is to show participants solutions and possibilities for action in regards to reaching the „Sustainable Development Goals“ (SDGs) of the United Nations just as encouraging critical discussion and reflection.

InnovationsGeist does not only offer theoretical knowledge but also includes two „Impact Action“ formats. They aim to support practical confrontation with individual possibilities for action to make societal change happen. The day workshop „Mindset & Lifestyle“ encourages students to reflect on values and beliefs in combination with daily actions. The idea-workshop „Impact Innovation“ with a subsequent competition phase gives you practical skills to generate ideas and develop them further (like Design Thinking or Lean Startup) and shows how ideas can be put into practice.

In addition to these programs, there is the possibility to make use of an individual consulting session to discuss your own ideas and projects.
