Visit to Hermannsdorfer Landwerkstätten

The Rachel Carson Center is organizing an excursion to Herrmannsdorf on Monday, 24 June. The "Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten" is an organic farm in the South-East of Munich and so much more. You might have heard, Prince Charles and Camilla visited the place just some days ago.
The farm operates workshops where craftspeople teach visiting groups on how to make traditional foods, such as Weisswurst sausages and pretzels. It was created with the principle of prioritizing craftspeople over machines in an increasingly modernized industry. Today the farm is 100% organic and sells its produce locally and in the centre of Munich.
All staff members, fellows, PhD students and Certificate students are welcome to join! The group will leave Munich in the morning and return in the afternoon. Karl Schweinsfurt will be leading the tour (in English)! After the tour, a picknick with food from the farm shop is planned.
Transportation and Tour are for free. Signing up is still possible until May 31.
