Inside the earthquake simulator
Experiencing natural forces
The students of the Environmental Studies Certificate Program as well as some of the Rachel Carson Center fellows got to participate in the exciting adventure of being in an earthquake simulator. With global catastrophes occuring more and more, this was a chance for the participants to not only learn more about but experience the forces of nature. Prof. Dr. Anke Friedrich of the intitute of Geology at the LMU accompanied the group to the simulator and shed a geological light on this type of natural impact.
