Sabrina Scherzer, B.A.

Certificate Student
Social and Cultural Anthropology

Sabrina Scherzer received her bachelor's degree with a major in social and cultural anthropology and a minor in sociology at LMU Munich. In her bachelor's thesis on the "Meaning of Spring Water and Cultural Practices in a Bavarian town," she observed the cultural practices of water and human-water relations. As a cultural anthropologist, it is of great value to her to include not just humans but other living beings, as well as the environment, into observations and descriptions. She enrolled in the master's program in social and cultural anthropology with a focus on visual anthropology in the 2018/19 academic semester, at which time she also joined the Environmental Studies Certificate Progam.

She is currently training to become a permaculture practitioner at Sepp Holzer's Krameterhof. The focus lies on learning about the principles of permaculture, extending one's knowledge, and gaining insight into different ways of cultivating permacultural holdings. As a final project, Sabrina has started to create her own piece of forest land based on permaculture principles.
