Ivana Paust majored in German as a Foreign Language. In 2019, she wrote her bachelor thesis on the impact of migration experiences on gender identity at LMU Munich. For this research project, she conducted interviews with Syrian women who fled to Germany. Along with her interest for global migratory movements grew a curiosity for environmental issues and their effect on humans in the future. Therefore, she joined the Environmental Studies Certificate Program in order to gain scientific insights beyond her master’s in sociology.
