Leon Elias Gomoll is finishing his bachelor thesis (entitled “Plurilinguism in a Multilingual Society: Choice of Language and Language Behavior in the Officina Plantiniana”) and taking courses in graduate studies (MA) in Romance languages and literature and history. His main academic interests are in cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, colonial studies, and cultural history, with a regional focus on Europe and Latin America. He is particularly interested in the history of globalization.
