Sergio Ospina Rey is studying for his MSc in Sustainable Resource Management at TU Munich. After graduating in History and Mechanical Engineering at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá (Colombia), Sergio worked for 5 years as a research and development engineer and project manager at Alstom in Mannheim (Germany), one of the largest companies in the power industry worldwide. He is interested in the history of climate change and how it is perceived and discussed in society. Through his interdisciplinary approach he aims to enrich the current understanding of the dynamics between science and society and the encounters between scientific communities and the wider public. He is also interested in environmental policies and the development of climate change negotiations in global politics. Sergio joined the Environmental Studies Certificate Program in October 2015.
