Lukas Kolbeck studied sociology and environmental studies at LMU Munich. His master thesis analyzed how loss risk caused by climate change influences cooperation levels of groups regarding the reduction of climate-damaging emissions.
As a final project for the Environmental Studies Certificate Program he authored and illustrated a children's book about a mouse living in the city and visiting her friends. Seeing as most children's books about wild animals show them in the countryside, the concern of this project was to reveal where and how wild animals live in cities.
