Rebekkah Hammar studies Pharmaceutical Sciences at LMU Munich. However, it was her exchange semester in Umeå, Sweden that strongly influenced her interest fields. Not only did she meet her future husband who studies Sustainable Development, but she able to take an inspiring course in Arctic Ecosystems (held in Abisko, north of the Arctic Circle). Both encounters fueled her interest in ecology and wildlife preservation, as well as sparking ideas on how to create a more sustainable healthcare system. Bekkah is currently finishing up her second state examination in Pharmacy and thrilled to be a part of the Environmental Studies Certificate Program.
