Julius Feucht volunteered for a year in Peru, where he encountered mining and its associated problems. This strengthened his interest in the interaction of societies and ecosystems. Concerned not only about the fundamentals of nature but also about the fundamentals of societies and the human being, he attended philosophy seminars, while completing a bachelor's degree in physics. He is currently enrolled for an MSc in physics at LMU Munich, alongside the Environmental Studies Certificate Program of the Rachel Carson Center.
