Anne Dietrich completed her bachelor's in European ethnology at the LMU Munich in 2015. Her BA thesis about the motivations, ethics and individual practical experiences of people doing urban gardening in Munich was based on participatory fieldwork in Munich and Copenhagen, where she spent a semester abroad. She joined the Environmental Studies Certificate Program in October 2016 as a supplement to her master's studies in European ethnology at LMU Munich. In addition to urban environmentalism and civic engagement, her research interests focus on individual strategies of negotiating environmental problems and ecological calamities in daily life.
