Nina Bogdanović recieved her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) in 2018. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics at LMU, Munich. Throughout her studies, she has been focusing on nature conservation. For her master’s thesis she is researching the effect of climate and landscape changes on the distribution of a threatened grassland bird, Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax).
As an Environmental Studies Certificate student, she is interested in the link between nature conservation and neoliberal economy, historical discourses that shaped the current conservation practices and their implication for local communities. Ultimately, she hopes to contribute to the development of alternative conservation practices that will help tackle the current ecological crisis by promoting politics of equality, structural changes and environmental justice.
