Luna Benitez Requena (MSc), is currently enrolled in graduate studies (MSc) for evolution, ecology and systematics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biochemistry and a master’s in biology from LMU Munich. Her main academic interests are aquatic chemistry and marine biology and her current research focuses on aquatic ecology of limnic systems. She grew up both in Spain and Germany and got interested in cultural anthropology at a very early age. After spending some time in a very remote rural area of Mozambique she also got very interested in sustainable development, social sciences, and the relationships between societies and their environments. Currently enrolled in the Environmental Studies Certificate Program at the RCC, she would like to put all her practical and theoretical knowledge into action and help towards a more sustainable future for the whole world both through a scientific and interdisciplinary approach.
