Maria Bekiari studied law in Greece and Germany. During her legal internship she worked as a trainee lawyer in the legal department of the Greek Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change. As well as legal questions related to the environment, she is interested in the philosophical, ethical, and sociological aspects of environmental issues. Her research interests include environmental law, climate change, sustainability issues, environmental health, and environmental issues related to energy.
