After completing her bachelor’s program in Sinology in summer 2019, Anna Lisa Beck is now enrolled in the interdisciplinary and cultural master’s program “Religion and Philosophy in Asia,” focusing on China and Japan. In her academic and extracurricular work alike, she is particularly interested in manifestations of religion and philosophy in East-Asian culture, especially regarding gender and the environment. Through the Environmental Studies Certificate Program, she hopes to gain further knowledge about environmental issues and theories, particularly those outside of Asian Studies.
