History

Laura Mann received a diploma in business administration from Saarland University in 2013. Prior to completing her bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in language, literature, and culture at LMU Munich in 2018, she worked in marketing, partly as a self-employed entrepreneur. In 2011, Laura studied a semester abroad at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in history at LMU Munich. Her interest in the Rachel Carson Center’s themes developed while studying human-animal studies and animal history in the course of her history studies, which is also the subject of her master’s thesis. She joined the interdisciplinary seminar "Impact for Global Challenges" at LMU in 2019.

Laura took over the position of library associate at the Rachel Carson Center in September 2019.
