Makmal holds a bachelor's degree in International and Comparative Politics from the American University of Central Asia and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Politics and Technology at the Technical University of Munich.
Outside of her studies, she works as a student at SAP, where she focuses on ESG reporting, contributing to corporate sustainability efforts. Makmal's involvement in the Environmental Studies Certificate Program at the Rachel Carson Center is driven by her passion for finding practical solutions to environmental challenges through an interdisciplinary lens.
