Leander Seibert received his bachelor's degree in biology at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität Munich in 2022. From early on in his studies, he was interested in the study of plants and consequently enrolled in the plant sciences master’s program at LMU.
Although his research is mostly focused on the molecular and cellular biology of plants, he always tries to point out that even the microscopic processes in plants can have massive consequences for the macroscopic world. This is why he believes that many of the problems facing earth right now can only be solved with interdisciplinary approaches. Therefore, the Rachel Carson Center’s environmental studies certificate program is an opportunity for him to further his insights into different fields of research.
