Lea obtained her Bachelor of Science in Geography and Biology from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. She is interested in the impact of climate change on biodiversity and ecosystems, causing her to focus on the primary production in the Ross Sea, Antarctica, in her Bachelor's thesis. Furthermore, after a year of Erasmus studies at Stockholm University she developed a passion about environmental communication, and she was inspired to contribute to the bridging of the knowledge-action gap. By participating in the ESCP, Lea aims to broaden her natural science-based knowledge with perspectives from the humanities.
