Jeyasree is an international student from the start. She did her bachelors in Public Health in Hamburg and is currently doing her masters in Public Health at LMU. Her main field of research is global health and infectious diseases epidemiology in relation to climate change. She wrote her bachelor thesis in that field, although focusing more on a sub-national level (northern Germany).
Her goal in joining the certificat was to gain more interdisciplinary insights because coming from public health, the importance of knowledge from every different perspective is crucial for informed policy making or solutions development (which is often not the case). Jeyasree hopes to become more enlightened on this. Also, there are so many interesting fields she would like to explore and hopefully connect in her work.
Apart from academics, Jeyasree is a classical dancer and artistically engaged (in all shapes and sizes). She tries to bring the concepts from her studies into the world of dance/art or vice versa - an interactive educational intervention if you will.
