Sophie has completed her bachelor's degree at TUM in Engineering Sciences in 2021. Her master's program Environmental Engineering also at TUM will be complemented by the Environmental Studies Certificate, both starting in 2021. The field of studies she chose for her master's program are Urban Water Engineering and Water-Food-Energy-Nexus, with additional interest in Resource Efficiency in Urban Planning. She is working as a student research assistant at the "Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebswissenschaften", where she is active in the field of Sustainable Manufacturing.
After being exposed to many technical aspects like thermodynamics, material sciences, and mechanical engineering, she is particularly interested in an interdisciplinary approach focused on the social and political aspects of environmental work.
