Nils Egger received a bachelor's degree in sociology (major) and political economics (minor) from the University of Zurich in 2019 and is currently enrolled in a sociology master's degree at LMU Munich, where he is deepening his understanding of social theory.
His interests lie in social transformation due to digitalization and the risks of climate change. He is also interested in how a transformation to a more just society for humans and nonhumans can take place, keeping in mind that this can mean different things to different social actors, which should in itself be a topic of scientific inquiry.
He joined the Environmental Studies Certificate Program in 2020 to discuss and expand his knowledge of these topics in an interdisciplinary environment beyond sociology.
