Carolina Schmidt holds an undergraduate degree in filmmaking and is particularly interested in new approaches to non-fiction storytelling which she has explored in her Bachelor thesis on virtual reality journalism. She joined the RCC's environmental studies program alongside her master’s in cultural anthropology and European ethnology to investigate human-environment relations as well as narratives, myths and imaginaries of nature. Her aim is to create ethical films and new media which tackle the most pressing environmental issues and are based on a deep understanding of these.
