Veit Braun studied political science, environmental studies and sociology in Vienna and Munich, earning his MA in sociology in 2015. Since May 2015, he is part of the BMBF research project "The Language of Biofacts" which studies the role of cultivated plants in modern society. In his dissertation project, Veit Braun explores the significance of "life" for legal categories, economic calculations and agricultural practices within the seed industry from the perspective of science and technology studies.
